Mary Sias

Mary Jean Sias age 75 of Millersburg passed away at McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey on June 15, 2025.

She was born in Onaway to Homer and Mary (Stock) Whaley on July 6, 1949.

Mary graduated from Cheboygan High School. She married Garrett W. Sias Sr. in Onaway. Mary enjoyed camping, swimming, crocheting, sewing and spending time with her family and friends.

Mary is survived by four children, Rick Sias, Garrett Jr. (Dana) Sias, David Sias and Lynn Hall; 14 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; siblings, Lois (Don) Crooks, Elmer (Sandy) Whaley, Betty (Larry) LaFave and Sue (Vic) Garms; Fiancé, Todd W. Bebb; extended family: children, Derek (Jordan) Saxton, Donald (Precious) Colburn, Nathan (Tamara Wilson) Bebb; and Alexander (fiancée, Libbey Craig) Bebb; and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Mary Whaley; husband, Garrett W. Sias Sr., daughter-in-law, Lisa Sias; granddaughter, Kaylee Sias; son-in-law, Troy Hall; and David’s fiancée, Jean Kinary.

Celebration of Life for Mary will be held on July 20th at 4:00 p.m. at The Lord’s Kitchen, 674 Court Street in Cheboygan. Dinner will follow after the service.
