Matthew Budnik
1970 - 2021Matthew Lawrence Budnik age 50 of Ypsilanti passed away August 30, 2021.
He was born September 23, 1970 in Rogers City to George and Joanne (Felax) Budnik.
Following his graduation from Rogers City High School in 1988 he began his truck driving career with Tulgestka Transport. He enjoyed over the road trucking for many years, then settled down and drove gravel trains in the downstate area. Matt loved watching NASCAR and sharing his sense of humor.
He is survived by his parents, George and Joanne Budnik; two brothers, Wade (Suzy) Budnik of Interlochen and Duane “Lish” (Lynne) Budnik of Posen; nephew, Cameron Freed of Posen; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Matt was preceded in death by his sister, Dawn Marie Budnik; and grandparents, Sam and Lorene Felax and Theophilus Sr. and Antionette Budnik.
Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home on Friday, September 3rd from 4-8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will resume on Saturday at St. Ignatius Catholic Church from 9 a.m. until time of Mass at 10 a.m. with Fr. James Siler officiating.
Memorials may be given to Posen First Responders in memory of Matthew Budnik.
