Nancy Zelenak

Nancy Elizabeth Zelenak age 75 of Rogers City passed away peacefully at home with her siblings at her side on September 3, 2026.

She was born in Detroit on May 1, 1951, to Rowland and Frances (Wesolowski) Kotwica.

Nancy was an excellent seamstress who had her own store on Etsy, Northwoodswhimz, where she sold her handmade bags and machine embroidered items. Nancy made the most delicious Christmas cookies and for the last 53 years, loved giving them to family and special friends to brighten their holidays. She was a hard working person who enjoyed relaxing while watching football and golf on television. Most of all, she loved being Gramma to Lexi and Trevs.

She is survived by her daughter, Danielle Jullette (Robert Lane); two grandchildren, Alexis and Trevor; a brother, James Kotwica; a sister and best friend, Pegi Kotwica; and her faithful four legged companion, Prince Charming.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Rowland and Frances; an infant sister, Mary Frances; and her husband, Richard.

She will be forever remembered for her obsession with her green lawn!
