Norma Beebe

Norma Ann Beebe age 86 of Belknap passed away at home on June 17, 2026.

She was born January 26, 1940, in Rogers City to George and Alfrieda (Kalitta) Trapp.

Norma graduated 8th grade from St. Michael Lutheran School. Norma began playing the organ at St. Michael Lutheran Church in December of 1953 at the age of 13 and continued playing every church service as well as weddings and funerals for the past 73 years. She graduated from Rogers City High School in 1957. She began working at the Presque Isle Bank on the Monday following graduation. On July 12, 1958, she married Norman Beebe at St. Michael Lutheran Church where she was the choir director and held many other positions in the church, including Ladies Aid, Samaritan’s Purse and World Relief.

She is survived by two children, Shannon (James) Smolinski and Mike (Terri) Beebe; seven grandchildren; Eric (Vaviel) Smolinski, Heidi (David) Fryske, Heather (Scott) Kamyszek, Nathan Smolinski, Devon (Fiancee, Elissa) Ferris, Derek (JoJo) Ferris and Katelyn Beebe; 7 great grandchildren, Tanner, Blake, Parker, Eliza, Natalie, CallieAnn and William; one sister, Linda (James) Falk; a cousin, Grace Trapp and many close friends, nieces and nephews.

Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Norman.

Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 23rd from 4-8 pm with a prayer service at 7 pm. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, from 10 a.m. through time of her funeral at 11 am with Pastor Paul Boerger officiating.

Interment will follow at St. Michael Lutheran Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to St. Michael Lutheran Church.
