Patrick McLean
1926 - 2011Patrick B. “Duke” McLean age 84 of Rogers City
passed away May 3, 2011 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Saginaw
He was born on August 29, 1926 in Rogers City
to John and Alta (Knight) McLean
He was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Rogers City Servicemen’s Club,
and VFW Post 607 Dad’s Club. He served in the Naval Reserves for several years,
being discharged in 1953.
Duke is survived by:
4 children, Richard (Paula) McLean of Fallon,
Nevada, Steven (Laura) McLean of Lansing,
Janell (Kellen) Kangas of Marshfield, Wisconsin, and
Heidi (Fernando) Flores of Muskegon;
3 grandchildren, Christopher McLean, Martin McLean, and Charlene Flores;
1 sister, Rosalind (Ed) Brunsman of St. Clair Shores.
Mr. McLean was preceded in death by:
his wife, Charlene on April 7, 1979;
daughter, Tracy Ann in 1971;
father, John in 1975;
mother, Alta in 1988;
2 sisters, Magdeline Fae Hanson in 1978 and Zora Frances Osborn in 200;
2 brothers, Augustine Merle McLean in 1994 and John Joseph McLean in 2009
A memorial visitation will take place at the Beck Funeral Home on Friday from
4:00 until 8:00 p.m . where th rosary will be recited at 6:30 followed a VFW tribute
then by a prayer service with Sr. Rita Epple conducting.
Fr. Arthur Duchnowicz will celebrate his memorial mass of resurrection at
St. Ignatius Catholic Church on Saturday at 10:00 a.m, Rogers City VFW will
accord military honors following mass.
Inurnment will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery.
