Randel Blue

Randel Lee Blue, age 65 of Cheboygan, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at the Hospice House of Cheboygan.

Randy was born December 27, 1956, in Marion, Ohio, to Robert C. and Patricia L. Blue.

On December 30, 2006, Randy married Angela Cronk of Cheboygan. Randy enlisted in the United States Navy and graduated from high school in Hawaii while serving. After the Navy he worked for many years as a cement mason in Ohio and retired in early 2000. He enjoyed quiet time at his shack, fishing, World War II history and getting his hands dirty working on cars with his nephew Ben Hamilton. Randy liked a good political discussion and often joked that he should run for office. Randy had a heart for serving in the community, including the Crisis Pregnancy Center and Cornerstone Christian School banquets. Randy’s last adventures were with his faithful companion, his dog Reuben James.

Randy is survived by his wife Angela; his daughters Elaine Hart and Emily Blue of Ohio; four special boys, Liam, Jacob, Beau and Cristhopher; and two siblings, Robert H. Blue and Pammy Sue Hamilton, both of Broadway, Ohio. Also surviving are Randy’s grandchildren Blaze, Joshua, Ruby, Austin, Gauge, Abby, and Colt; many great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; his mother-in-law, Sharon Cronk of Cheboygan; and his special right-hand gal, Valerie Cronk.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents; his granddaughter Kaylee; and his father-in-law, John
Cronk.

A Celebration of Life will take place at Life Worship Center on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 11:00 am with visitation beginning at 10:30 am. Pastor Sam Agee will be officiating, and a luncheon will immediately follow.
