Raymond Brasseur

Raymond T. Brasseur, age 72, of Cheboygan, died at home on Saturday morning, October 1, 2022.

The son of Bertrand E. and Frances L. (Webber) Brasseur, Raymond was born in Afton MI, February 4, 1950.

Raymond also lived in Indian River, and spent some time traveling to other states. Raymond was not a shy guy; he could strike up a conversation with just about anyone. He was the kind of man that would give you the shirt off his back if you needed one. He loved working with wood, working at sawmills at a young age, eventually to working construction, and finish carpentry. Raymond made furniture, keepsake boxes, and bird houses in his free time.

Raymond is survived by his wife Doris; they were together 35 years before they married 2/5/22. He is also survived by his children Cheri (Russell) Skilton, Pellston, MI; Shane (Nizda) Brasseur, Oden, MI; Justin (Amy) Brasseur, Las Gatos, CA; Toinelle (Rich) Moulder, Cheboygan, MI; Three step daughters, Sarah (Sam) Hopkinson, Cheboygan, MI. Rachel Winslow, Lansing, MI; and Alice VanAlstine. Grandchildren, Troy & Gene Midyett, Dylan Smeltzer, AsiaLynn Gibson, Sean & Austin Brasseur, Tyler Jones, Ethan and Elijah Brasseur, Seth-Miguel Flores, Jordan & Charlie Winslow, Tradvis Williams, Bryson & Kennedy Winslow, Austynn Sullivan, America & Payzlie Winslow, Laiyanna Vanalstine Crystal, Torri and JoLynn Brasseur; and 12 great grandchildren.

Raymond is preceded in death by his parents Bertrand & Lucille Brasseur, Brothers, David, Gerald, Leonard & Larry, sisters, Pauline and Barb. Mother-in-Law, Marie Miller, sister, in Laws Nancy & June.

Raymond will be greatly missed by all of his family, and friends.

A Celebration of Life will take place at The Dirty Duck 7015 Twin Lakes Rd. Cheboygan, MI Saturday October 22, 2022 at 11am.
