He was born November 27, 1917 in Royal Oak
to John and Mary (Purol) Misiak
On September 13, 1941 Ray married the love of his life, Irene Swan at
St. Casimir Catholic Church. He served in the United States Army at the end of
and following World War II.
Mr. Misiak loved spending time with his family, he enjoyed farming, time in the
woods, and gardening.
He is survived by:
5 children, Sharon (Gene) Malyszko of Washington, Doris Misiak of Galesburg,
Dave (Jan) Misiak of Posen, Phil (Diane) Misiak of Richmond, and
Paul Misiak of Posen;
grandchildren, Shelley Plumer, Scott Plumer, Tammy Plumer, Chris (Bethany) Eicher,
Daniel (Amber) Misiak, Allison Misiak, Dana (John) Hotter,
Kimberly (Dan) Ziehmer, Matthew Misiak, and Stephanie Fowler;
7 great grandchildren;
6 siblings, Virginia Niedzwiecki, John (Martha) Misiak, Mark (Eleanor) Misiak,
Louis Misiak, Gerald (Joyce) Misiak, and Floyd Misiak;
brother-in-law, Mike Muszynski;
2 sisters-in-law, Louise Misiak and Geraldine Misiak.
Mr. Misiak was preceded in death by:
his dear wife, Irene;
parents, John and Mary;
2 brothers, Eugene and Anthony;
sister, Anna Muszynski;
brother-in-law, Stanley Niedzwiecki;
sister-in-law, Doris Misiak.
Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home on Sunday from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m.
with the parish wake service at 6:15 followed by the rosary at 7:00 p.m.
Visitation will resume on Monday at St. Casimir Catholic Church from 12-Noon
through time of mass at 1:00 p.m. with Fr. Stan Bereda officiating. Posen VFW will
accord military honors during graveside services.
Interment will take place next to his wife at St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Casimir Catholic Church
in memory of Raymond Misiak
