Rebecca Dean

Rebecca “Becky” Dean, a lifelong resident of Onaway, peacefully passed away on April 3, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family and pets.

She was born in Onaway on June 19, 1957 to Henry E. and Leevyna L. (Frasier) Dean.

Becky grew up, lived and worked in the Onaway area. She was employed with the Cheboygan Otsego Presque Isle School district for more than 35 years. After retirement she enjoyed working on the farms with her horses and traveling with her family.

Becky is survived by her two sisters, Katie (Doug) Jarvis of Ocqueoc and Debbie (Ralph) Moore of Onaway; nephews, Nick Jarvis of Onaway, Ethan (Erica) Jarvis of Cheboygan, and nieces, Michelle (Mike) McFalls of LaGrange, Kentucky and Cassie (Derick) Zell of South Lyon; great nephews and niece, Anthony, Leland, Christopher and Charlotte.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Henry L. Dean and Roger E. Dean.

Becky’s family would like to thank her friends for the calls and visits as well as her homecare, hospice nurses and aides, Megan, Joei, Tricia, Amy and Lindsay, for their excellent care.

Those who would like to express their sympathy may make a donation to the Cheboygan Hospice House.

Becky’s wishes were to have a private family service.
