Richard Bunker

1944 - 2017

Richard Glenn Bunker age 73 of Vanderbilt
passed away at home on November 17, 2017.

He was born October 9, 1944 in Lansing
to William and Dorothy (Black) Bunker.

Richard served in the National Guard and was called up to active duty
during the Detroit Riots. On April 24, 1993 he married Kandi Pratt-Cooley
at Joy Fellowship Church in Wolverine, Over the years Richard owned a
gas station/party store, a grocery store and an AFC home in the area and
also served as a firefighter for the Wolverine Fire Department for many
years, He retired from Georgia Pacific’s Gaylord Plant after more than

30 years of employment. He was a member of the Honda Goldwing Club
and enjoyed traveling, camping and time spent riding. He will be sorely
missed by his family and dear friends, Ray and Jeannie Sherman.

Mr. Bunker is survived by:
his wife, Kandi;
8 children, Tracy (Connie Claus) Bunker of Posen,
Tiffany (Roger) Rockol of Minot, North Dakota,
Michael Raber, Paul Bunker of Wolverine,
Thomas (Christa) Cooley of Dearborn,
Anthoney (Sunni) Cooley of Texas and
Brion (Theresa) Cooley of Hartland;
21 grandchildren;
15 great grandchildren; and
2 sisters, Janet (Wes) Evoy and Janice (Orville) Root.

He was preceded in death by:
a son, Darin Wayne Raber;
a brother and sister-in-law, William (Gerry) Bunker Jr; and
a niece, Lynn Evoy,

A memorial service will take place at the Wolverine Free Methodist Church
on Sunday, November 19th at 2:00 p.m.

Memorials may be given to the Bunker Family for a charity
to be selected later
