Richard Kuszajewski

1938 - 2013

Richard “Richie” Kuszajewski, age 75 of Presque Isle,
raised his side-stand for the last time,

rolled onto the throttle, and rode off into the sunset
to be with our Heavenly Father
on Thursday, August 22nd, 2013.

Richie was born just outside of the Motor City in Dearborn, Michigan,
to Otto and Genevieve (Kaszubowski) Kuszajewski.

He graduated from Posen High School in 1956 and joined the United
States Army National Guard. He later enlisted in the United States Air
Force where he honed his skills as a mechanic, and later received an
honorable discharge in 1961. After completing his tour of active duty
service, Richie became Village Marshall of Posen and served in a myriad
of mechanical technician positions that increased in skill and
responsibility and culminated with his retirement after working 30 years
with Calcite,

Richie’s passion for fine machinery and nature carried over into his
leisure time. He was not only an active member of the National Rifle
Association and talented marksman; he was an avid motorcycle
enthusiast, golfer, and sportsman. Richie and his lovely wife Marilyn
could often be found relaxing at Grand Lake or touring the Sunshine
State on the back of his Harley Davidson during Michigan’s frigid

Richie will join his parents and younger brother Dennis in Heaven and
look down upon his loving surviving family;
his wife of 50 years, Marilyn (Buza) Kuszajewski originally from Posen;
and his four daughters: Jacqueline Smith of Steamboat Springs, Colorado;
Carleen Collins of Lodi, California;
Beth (Scott) Kowalski of Rogers City; and
Jean Kuszajewski, of Kansas City, Missouri,

Richie is survived by:
a brother, Eugene (Susan) from Maui, Hawaii;
a sister, Bernie (Les) Klimaszewski from Alpena; and
Grandchildren Ryan, Nicole, Irma, Charles and Travis.
Sunday, August 25th, 2013, family and friends will gather at the

Beck Funeral Home in Rogers City from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a
Rosary Service at 6:30 followed by the parish wake service at 7:00 pm,
A viewing will be held on Monday, August 26nd from 9:00 am, until the
funeral begins at 11:00 am, at Saint Casimir Catholic Church

with Reverend Art Duchnowicz officiating. Posen VFW will offer
military honors following Mass.
