Robert Klein

Robert  “Bob”  Joseph Klein Jr. age 74 of Hawks passed away Thursday, September 24, 2026 at MyMichigan Health in Midland surrounded by family.

He was born in Detroit on January 19, 1952 to Robert and Elizabeth (Berg) Klein.

Bob graduated from St. Gertrude Catholic High School in 1970. On September 14, 1973 he married the love of his life Pamela Nickol at St. Gertrude Catholic Church in St. Clair Shores. Following his retirement from the Detroit Police Department, he and his family moved to their home in Hawks where he used his ability to fix anything to start a small engine repair shop.
Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and spending time with his family. He also loved getting together at Klein’s Deer Camp which he proudly built with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Pam; three children, Julie (Josh) Senff of Rogers City, Christie (Gabe) Mulka of Grand Lake and Rob (Emily) Klein of Grand Lake; five grandchildren, Adalyn, Natalie, Lucas, Nolan and Liam; and two sisters, Karen (Mike Coho) McFadzen and Mary (Dan) Nagalski.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Elizabeth and two brothers-in-law, Gary Hewell and Jack McFadzen.

Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home on Friday, October 2nd from 11:00 a.m. through the time of his funeral at 2:00 p.m. with Fr. Don Geyman officiating.

Burial will follow at St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to St. Ignatius Catholic School’s Restoration Project.
