Robert Walter

1930 - 2014

Robert Richard Walter, age 84 of Indian River,
passed away May 5, 2014 at Tendercare Cheboygan.

He was born January 15, 1930 in Pell Lake, Wisconsin
to Steward and Julia (Streit) Walter.

Bob graduated from Claysburg High School in Pennsylvania, On
September 23, 1950 he married Maxine Dively at the First Baptist Church
in Flint, He retired from the Flint School District as a mason plasterer in
1988, then moved to Indian River. Mr. Walter was a member of the
Topinabee Community Church and Michigan Public School Employees
Retirement System. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time
outdoors,

Mr. Walter is survived by:
his wife, Maxine;
2 daughters, Anita (Phillip) Murphy of Baraga and
Cathy (Dan) Champney of Grand Blanc;
5 grandchildren, James (Joan) Murphy, Tara Murphy,
Aaron (Jennifer) Champney, Dr. Allison (Adam) Schnepp,
and Ann Champney;
3 great grandchildren, Sean, Baylee, and Maya;
1 brother, Gary (Kay) Walters;
2 sisters, Josephine Biddle and Helene Piantino.

He was preceded in death by:
his parents, Steward and Julia;
son, Robert;
2 brothers, Edward and Leon.

Friends may visit at the Topinabee Community Church on Friday, May 9th
from 1:00 p.m. through time of memorial service at 2:00 p.m. with
Pastor Dr. Michael Sanders officiating.

Cremation arrangements in care of the Beck Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to
Topinabee Community Church Memorial Fund.
