Robert Ward

Bob Allen Ward passed away peacefully at home in Cheboygan while surrounded by his loving family on November 30, 2024.

He was born in Grand Rapids to Neal and Willow (Graves) Ward on December 10, 1937.

Bob carried on his family’s passion for race cars throughout his life. He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1960-1963 and was proud of his Airborne service. Following his retirement from the local Ford Dealership, where he was known as “Smilen Bob”, he pursued his interest in racing, motor cycling, snowmobiling, bowling, and camping, but his greatest joy was his family and attending his grandchildren’s sporting events and plays.

Bob is survived by his wife, Teri; daughter, Terri (Phil) Bellrose; son, Corey (Tammi) Ward; stepdaughters, Jessica (James) Good and Stephanie (Riley) Cope; 12 grandchildren, Casey (Gary) Crawford, Nina Williams, Brittney Ward, Bailey Ward, Abbey (David) Sharits, Alyssa Good, Emily Good, Jenna Good, Isaac Cope, Lilly Cope, Parker Cope, and Liam Cope; three great grandchildren, Audrey Crawford, Austin Crawford and Jameson Sharits.

A celebration of life will be held at the Great Lakes Grill on Saturday, December 7th, from 11-2 pm.

Military honors and inurnment will take place at Calvary Cemetery in the spring of 2025.
