Robert White

Robert William White age 68, of Rogers City passed away at home on March 24, 2026.

He was born in Detroit on May 6, 1957 to Robert and Barbara (Deutschel) White.

Bob was a hard-working honest man. After losing his wife Ann to cancer in 2001 he became both mom and dad to his kids. Bob made sure to provide and show up for his kids. When work was done, he was full of adventure with his kids and great friends. He loved anything to do with water, family and speed. When Bob was off the clock he was at the lake with family and friends . Bob spent most of his weekends at the racetrack with his son doing what they loved together. His favorite sayings were “When in Doubt, Throttle it Out!” and “Go fast, Turn Left!” Bob also enjoyed shooting pool, whether it was casual at the bar or big pool hall tournaments. Bob was always there for the people he loved, all his kid’s sporting events, the births of his grand babies, and most of his grandbabies local sporting events until his health made it too difficult. Bob was devoted to his kids, grand babies, and his soul mate Diane.

He is survived by two children, Robert (Alice) White Jr. and Katie (Shane) VanHook; a daughter-in-law, Tanya Jonker; eight grandchildren, Anna, Aiden, Austin, Conner, Aria, Robbie, Ayla and Jayden.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Barbara; a son, Robert Jonker and two sisters, Sherry and Shelly.

A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
