Roger Clark

1937 - 2012

Roger T. Clark age 75 of Rogers Township
passed away August 1, 2012 at home.

He was born January 16, 1937 in Saginaw
to George T. and Marcella M. (Kersten) Clark.

Roger graduated from Arthur Hill High School. He had joined the Marine Corps in
his junior year and served in the Reserves for six years. He was employed by

Kroger food stores from age 14-23. At age 23 he left to go work for the Retail Clerks
Union and was a Union Organizer for the State of Michigan. He spent 30 years
working in every capacity for the Local Regional Division and International Union.
Mr. Clark Retired as an International Vice President and Regional Director of the
merged union UFCW.

Roger retired to Rogers Township in 1991 and developed Roger’s Ranch and Lodge.
He enjoyed fishing, nature, and especially working in all aspects of construction and
landscaping at the Ranch and Lodge.

Roger is survived by:
his wife Christine;
son, Roger Scott (Laura) Clark of Medina, Ohio;
daughters, Kelly Jo Clark of Appleton, Wisconsin, and
Heidi (Michael) Munson of Green Bay Wisconsin;
step-sons, Steven (Marcie) Gabara of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and
Sam (Kimberlee) Gabara of Killeen, Texas;
grandchildren, Jamie and Jessica Clark, Cole Sutter,
Braden, Tyler and Taylor Gabara;
his sister, Judy (Jerry) Cowan of Fenton, Michigan
father and mother-in-law, Raymond and Joyce Nowicki;
sisters-in-law, Gail (Gerald) Meddaugh and Marsha (Tim) Wirgau.

Roger was preceded in death by his mother and father.

Friends may visit at St. John Lutheran Church on Saturday, August 4th , from
10:00 a.m. through time of funeral at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor John Schreiber
officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. John Lutheran School in memory
of Roger Clark.
