Ruth Altman

Ruth L. Altman age 95 of Rogers City passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 19, 2026.

She was born in Moltke to Arthur and Hattie (Wiesegart) Schultz on June 6, 1931.

Ruth enjoyed many activities including spending time outdoors.

She is survived by two daughters, Kathleen Lijewski and Janice (John) Brown; two step-children, Barbara (Larry) Budnik and Larry (Susan) Altman; 12 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; a sister, Esther Nichols; and a sister-in-law, Dawnette.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Leo; four brothers, Harold, Philip, Martin and Leonard; a sister, Harriette; and a son-in-law, Edward Lijewski.

Her graveside service is set for 11 a.m. Monday, August 24th at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery with Pastor Jonathan Dueker conducting.
