Ruth Ann Fenker
1950 - 2024Ruth Ann Fenker, 73, passed away on March 5, 2024. Born in Huntington, WV in August 1950 to Paul and Ruth Hall, she was raised in New Boston, Michigan and graduated Huron (New Boston) High School. In 1989, Ruth Ann along with her husband, Bob, moved to Indian River, an area she had enjoyed visiting on vacations.
Ruth Ann loved to read thrillers and mysteries; making her way through favorites by James Lee Burke and Lee Child. She spent many happy hours crafting, on her own and with her daughter, Becky. Her sense of humor was tremendous. With her late husband Bob, she shared a love for fishing and classic rock music. Especially The Beatles. Ruth Ann was a life-long Paul girl, but she always said she loved them all.
In recent years, Ruth Ann enjoyed the occasional treat of being taken by her daughter to a variety of eateries, for cheesesteak hoagies, Chinese carry-out, frozen custard, Dole Whip, whatever she desired. Often singing along with the radio together.
Ruth Ann is survived by her daughter Becky. She is also survived by her loving cousins; Barbara, Cathy, Charmayne, Holly and Lorrie; brother-in-law Hugo, sister-in-law Susan (Mark), nephew Scott (Michelle), niece Tara, great-nephews Jake and Theo and great-niece Lindsay. She will also be greatly missed by her best friend Dawn, sister Denise, the Dapprich families, the Southerland/Green families and many friends. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Bob, niece Christina, sister-in-law Barbara and brother-in-law Jerry.
Per her wishes, no service will be held. Her daughter asks that you celebrate her mother with a smile, a favorite meal and turn up the classic rock music.
