Ruth Harris

Ruth Margaret Harris age 94 of Petoskey
passed away December 22, 2016 at
Mallard Cove in Petoskey.

She was born December 23, 1921 in Toledo, Ohio
to Roy and Ruth (Probeck) Babcock.

Ruth retired as a second grade teacher from Alanson Littlefield School
after many years of service. She was a member of the Burt Lake Christian
Women’s Group, as well as the Alanson Women’s Group. Peg was an avid
rock hound and enjoyed painting eggs.

Mrs. Harris is survived by:
4 children, Anne (Sue Lynn) Harris of Missoula, Montana,
Jeffery (Mary) Harris of Gaylord,
Margaret “Meg” Goerke of Indian River, and
Bette (Ray) Rivera of Rhode Island;
6 grandchildren;
8 great grandchildren;
daughter-in-law, Barbara Harris; and
a sister-in-law, Judy Babcock.

She was preceded in death by:
her parents, Roy and Ruth;
siblings, R.W. (Donna) Babcock, Betty (William) Brown,
and William Babcock.

Private services will take place at a later date.
