Ruth Schultz

Ruth Elaine Schultz age 80 of Wavely Township passed away June 15, 2026 at McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey.

She was born September 15, 1945 in Atlanta to Albert and Katherine (Horning) Sammons.

Ruth was a caregiver who devoted her life to helping others. She most enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by two children, Issie Dubois and Ed Schultz; a grandson, Jim (Barbara) Tennant; three great grandsons, Seann Porter, Braxton Porter and Mason Spencer; and a nephew, Jim (Judy) Burkhart.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Kate; her husband, Bob Schultz; a grand son, Jerry Tennant; and eight siblings, Deck, Bill, Hazel, Charlotte, Lucille, Mabel, Rena and Dolly.

A private graveside service will take place.
