Samuel Carlson

Samuel Albert Carlson age 81 of Cheboygan passed away December 20, 2019 at McLaren Northern Michigan in Petoskey.

He was born July 8, 1938 in Cheboygan to Albert and Elizabeth (Wanke) Carlson.

He married Linda Morrow on April 22, 1961. Sam loved spending time with his family. He was a mechanic with a special gift of fixing things, which he passed down to his children. He was employed 18 years by Procter and Gamble and drove school bus for many years for Cheboygan Area Schools.

Sam is survived by his wife, Linda; three children, Kristy (Gary) Ruprecht, Albert (Kathy) Carlson and Bradley (Teresa) Carlson; four grandchildren, Amanda Carlson, Alaina (Carl) Schwartz, Hailey Carlson and Connor Carlson; two great granddaughters, Mackenzie and Kaycee Schwartz; a step grandson, Tyler (Rebecca) Clute; sisters-in-law, Vada (Gary) Wait and Janice Morrow.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Elizabeth; and a son, Jeffery.

No services are planned at this time. Inurnment will take place in the spring.
