Sarah Schreier

Sarah Ellen (Tippett) Schreier, age 87, of Brutus,
passed away Jan, 17, 2018 at the Hiland Cottage
in Petoskey.

Ellen was born Oct. 7, 1930 to
Eunice (Sarah) and Robert Tippett.

She grew up on the family farm in Stutsmanville along with 9 brothers and
1 sister, On Dec, 4, 1954, she married Leslie (Sonny) Schreier of Brutus,
Mi, Ellen worked alongside her husband on their farm and raised
6 children, She also worked at the Dam Site Inn for 15 years. She loved to
bake and was famous for her made from scratch coffee cakes. Ellen and
Sonny also ran the Red School House for many years where they hosted
color tours, sleigh rides and Christmas parties.

Ellen is survived by:

her 6 children: Debra (Jay) Bosma, Leslie (Guy) Schreier,
Clarence Schreier, Walter Schreier, Lois (Craig) Golovich
and Lora (Patrick) Cramer;
3 granddaughters, Erica, Jessica and Sarah Bosma and
1 great-granddaughter, DiAnna Bosma;
1 brother, Jerry (Wilma) Tippett; and
many nieces, nephews, sister in laws and friends.

Ellen was loved by her family, friends and neighbors. She was a wonderful
woman and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Memorials may be given to the Highland Cottage at Vital Care Hospice of
Little Traverse Bay, C/O McLaren Northern Michigan Foundation,

360 Connable Ave. Suite 3, Petoskey, Mi 49770, in memory of Sarah Ellen
Schreier.

The family wishes to thank the wonderful nurses, aids and caregivers who
took care of her at the Villa and the Hiland Cottage.

Arrangements were handled by Beck Funeral Home in Rogers City,
