Shirley Goebel
1946 - 2020Shirley Ann Goebel age 73 of Rogers City passed away June 11, 2020 at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit.
She was born September 20, 1946 in Rogers City to Stanley and Virginia (Kandow) Rygwelski.
On November 25, 1967 she married Harry Goebel at St. Ignatius. Shirley was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church and its Rosary Society.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Harry; two daughters, Kimberly (Alan) Sanger of Wheeler and Laurie Goebel of Moltke Township; five granddaughters, Kaili, Kaitlin, Kira, Megan and Paige; siblings, Kenneth Rygwelski of Trenton, Donald (Helen) Rygwelski of Presque Isle, Mary (Kenneth) Byers of Alpena, Mark (Cathrine) Rygwelski of Gaylord and Sherri (Ronald) Jaracz of Gaylord.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley Rygwelski and Virginia Rosmys; a sister, Constance Brzezinski.
A private graveside service will take place at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to St. Ignatius Catholic School’s Angel Fund in memory of Shirley Goebel.
