Steven Beland

Steven Francis Beland age 56 of Posen passed away at home on September 22, 2019.

He was born July 15, 1963 in Alpena to James and Delphine (Shalla) Beland.

Steve graduated from Alpena High School in 1981. On February 12, 1991 he married Denise Krajniak at St. Casimir Catholic Church. Steve sailed on the Great Lakes for many years until his health forced him to retire. He enjoyed hunting, camping, farming and spending time with his family. He will be remembered as always having a positive outlook with every circumstance.

Steve is survived by his wife, Denise; three children, Zachary, Chloe and Landon; mother-in-law, Dorothy Krajniak; sister-in-law, Sherri (Ron Bertani) Krajniak; cousin, David (Shirly) Budnik; siblings, Shelly (Joe) Beauchamp and Sam Beland; nieces and nephews, Riley (Michelle Holland) Beaudry, Casey (Matt Lesser) Beaudry; Zack Krajniak, Mike Beauchamp, Paul Beauchamp, John Beauchamp, Juston Beland, Sheri Beland, Chandler Beland and Chauncey Beland; great niece, Nora Beaudry; great nephew, Rupert Beaudry; Steve is also survived by many good friends and neighbors.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may visit at St. Casimir Catholic Church on Saturday, September 28th from 10 am through time of his memorial mass at 11 am with Fr. Arthur Duchnowicz officiating with Fr. Stan Bereda and Deacon Joe Beauchamp concelebrating.

Inurnment will follow in the church cemetery then a luncheon and time of sharing memories will take place at the Posen VFW Hall from 1-5 pm.
