Steven Main

Steven ‘Steve’ Paul Main age 58 died peacefully from Renal Cell Carcinoma at his home in Onaway on September 16, 2022.

He was born October 26, 1963 in Flint to Marvin and Gloria Main.

Steve graduated Onaway High School in 1981. After graduation he worked in Montana and Oklahoma. After returning home he met Audrey Blanchard. During their 30-year marriage they had two children Steven (Racheal) of Alanson and Danyale (Rick “Link”) Post of Silver Springs Florida.

Steve worked most of his life in landscaping in the Indian River area. In 2002 he stopped to care for Audrey. After Audrey’s death in 2014, Steve married his childhood sweetheart, Kathie Peterman. They were wed at Hoeft State Park on July 2, 2016.

Steve was an excellent step parent to Laura (Jim) Wolgast and Daniel (Misty Sachs) Nash – all of Onaway.

Steve will be missed for his kind spirit and wit. However, his fishing buddies Lex, Millie, DJ, Asher, Darin and Ava will be remembering grandpa / papa helping them reel in that keeper.

Steve was preceded in death by Audrey Blanchard Main; his parents Marv and Gloria Main, Bruce and Shirley Blanchard, Dale and Eliza Jane Peterman, Henry Dean, Laura Metz, Raechel Ellenberger, Lexie Lahaie and Caleb Gabrysiak.

Surviving Steve are: wife, Kathie Main; Steven, Racheal, Lex and Millie Main, Danyale and Rick “Link” Post, Laura, Jim, DJ, Madison, Darin and Ava Wolgast, Daniel, Misty and Asher Nash, Kathie Dean, Colleen Lahaie, Teri and Bob Ward, Matt and Liz Main, Greg and Ann Marie Main, Jeff and Barb Main, Andrea and Mike Baker, Chris and Mike Mularski, Rose Main and Steve; and good friends, Todd and Sarah Hopp; as well as his four legged fur baby, Jackson.
