Thomas Childers

Thomas Earl Childers age 67 of Cheboygan, formerly of Flushing,
passed away May 8, 2015 at home with his family by his side.

Tom was born September 1, 1947 in Flint, Michigan
to Earl and Marie (Kaake) Childers.

Tom’s spirit lives on in the hearts of:
his wife, Chery! (Sneller);
2 children, Trent of Swartz Creek and Kimberly (Mark) Glomski of Posen;
3 grandchildren, Tyler DeRosia, Jacob Glomski, and Kacey Childers;
1 sister, Linda (Robert) Newbury of East Lansing;
niece, Catherine DeShambo;
nephew, Richard Newbury.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Marie,

Tom married the love of his life, Cheryl on May 26, 1970 in Flushing.
They shared 45 years of love and laughter together. He retired from
General Motors after 31 years of employment. Since retiring, Tom enjoyed
spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid outdoorsman
who spent time fishing, hunting and simply enjoying the great outdoors.

A Celebration of Thomas’ life will take place Saturday, May 16th at
11289 West Vienna Road in Montrose. Friends may visit from 12:30 p.m.
through time of service at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Mark W. Cox officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research
Hospital in memory of Thomas Childers.
