Thomas Hicks

Thomas Ned Hicks age 78 of Millersburg
passed away at home on April 16, 2016
with his family at his bedside,

He was born May 20, 1937 in Detroit
to Raymond and Lolly (Miller) Hicks.

On April 16, 1977 he married Jane DeVore in Detroit. He retired as a die
maker from Distel Tool in 1989 then moved to Millersburg. Tom enjoyed
hunting and was an avid fisherman, in fact he won the Rogers City
Salmon Tournament in 1989.

Mr. Hicks is survived by:
his wife, Jane;
§ children, Thomas P. Hicks of Port Huron, Kathryn Hicks of Romeo,
Sean P. Hicks of Lexington, Kentucky,
Kevin T, Hicks of New Baltimore and
Kelly L. Hicks of Charlotte, North Carolina;
2 grandchildren, Shelby Hicks and Travis Cavanary;
2 siblings, Raymond V. (Marge) Hicks and Patricia (Dennis) Force.

Tom was preceded in death by:
his parents, Raymond and Lolly;
daughter, Susan Lynn Hicks; and
a brother, Dennis Hicks.

Private services will take place at a later date.

When these graven lines you see,
Traveler, do not pity me;
Though I be among the dead,
Let no mournful word be said.

Children that I leave behind,
And their children, all were kind;
Near to them and to my wife,
I was happy all my life.

My three sons grown strong and right,
And three daughters, stars so bright,
Death nor sorrow never brought
