Thomas Olsen

R. Thomas Olsen age 84 of Presque Isle
passed away at home on June 29, 2016.

He was born July 19, 1931 in Detroit
to Otto and Gretta (Stephens) Olsen,

On August 20, 1949 he married Joyce Perteet at St. Scholastica Catholic
Church in Detroit, After moving to Presque Isle in 1970, he owned and
operated Olsen Plumbing and Heating. Tom was also Fire Chief for the
East Grand Lake Fire Department for many years.

Mr. Olsen is survived by:
2 daughters, Cynthia Marie (Kevin) LeDuc of Presque Isle and
Kathy Marie (Dan) Talaske of Rogers City;
9 grandchildren, Karen, Kym, John, Joshua, David, Sam, Eddie, William
and Becky;
9 great grandchildren, Amanda, Alyssa, Mason,
Mackenzie, Ryleigh, Patrick,
Brooke, Briella and Isabella;
1 sister, Karen (Ken) Jenkins of Grand Rapids.

Tom was preceded in death by:
his wife, Joyce;
daughter, Karen;
2 sons, Greg and Steven,

Friends may visit at St. Ignatius Catholic Church on Saturday, July 9th
from 9:00 a.m. through time of Mass at 10:00 a.m, with
Fr, Sylvestre Obwaka officiating.

A luncheon and time of fellowship will follow at the Grand Lake
Community Chapel.

Inurnment will take place at the Presque Isle Township Cemetery

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to St. Ignatius Catholic School,
East Grand Lake Fire Department or Hospice of Michigan
in memory of Tom Olsen,
