Valentine Donajkowski

Valentine Donajkowski age 94 of Posen
passed away April 25, 2010 at Tendercare – Alpena

He was born December 30, 1915 in Posen
to Frank and Mary ( Urbaniak) Donajkowski

Valentine served in the United States Army from 1941 through 1945. On
December 1, 1943 he married Julia Samborski at St. Casimir Catholic Church. He
was self employed as a farmer and for 10 years drove bus for the Posen School.
After retirement he enjoyed making crafts. Mr. Donajkowski was a member of
Posen VFW Post #7804.

Valentine is survived by:
loving wife of 66 years, Julia;
4 children, Gerald (Rita) of Posen, Elizabeth (Charles) Kelyman of Mt. Morris,
Leonard (Irene) of Posen, and David (Diane) of Mt. Morris;
15 grandchildren;
14 great grandchildren;
1 sister, Florence (Bernard) Ciarkowski of Posen;
1 brother, Louis (Terri) of Davison;
1 daughter in law, Rose of Flint.

He was preceded in death by:
son, Leo on December 28, 2009;
4 brothers, Xavier, Philip, Leo, and Otto;
4 sisters, Veronica Glomski, Joanna Yarch, Helen Dziesinski, and Jeanette Pokorski.

Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m.
where the Posen VFW and Auxiliary will recite the rosary at 6:30 followed by the
parish prayer service at 7:00 p.m.. Visitation will resume on Thursday at
St. Casimir Catholic Church from 10:00 a.m. until time of mass at 11:00 a.m. with
Fr. Stan Bereda officiating. Posen V.F.W. will accord military honors during the
graveside services following mass.

Interment will take place in St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to Hospice of Michigan or a charity of your choice.
