Velma Rex

Velma J, Rex age 81 of Belknap Township
passed away March 7, 2016 at Alpena Regional
Medical Center,

She was born August 30, 1934 in Alpena
to Ervin and Edna (Putzig) Neumann.

Velma graduated from Alpena High School. She married Max E, Rex Jr. on
June 22, 1957 in Alpena.

Mrs, Rex is survived by:
9 children, Julie (Dennis) Schwiesow, Dale Rex, Thomas Rex, Marsha Rex,
Mark Rex, Laurie Rex, Carol (James) Fleury, Gary Rex and
Matthew Rex;
4 grandchildren, Tamara Rex, Kayla Fleury, Dalton Rex and Jordon Fleury;
1 great grandson, Robin Stone;
2 brothers, Delmar (Wilma) Neumann and David (Vivian) Neumann; and
1 sister, Elaine (Jesse) Belt.

She was preceded in death by:
her husband, Max E, Rex Jr;
twin sons, Kevin Rex and Calvin Rex;
parents, Ervin and Edna Neumann and
a sister, Doris Krueger.

Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home on Friday from 4:00 until
8:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will resume at
Peace Lutheran Church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m, through time of her
funeral at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor J, Derek Riddle officiating.

Interment will take place at St. Michael Lutheran Cemetery in the spring.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Peace Lutheran Church,
Hospice of Michigan or a charity of your choice in memory of Velma Rex,
