Wayne Nau

Wayne Robert Nau age 85 passed away peacefully on July 18, 2026.

He was born in Cheboygan on December 21, 1940 to Harold and Charlotte (Featherstone) Nau.

Wayne graduated from Ainsworth High School then enlisted in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He received the Purple Heart Medal for injuries received. Upon returning home, he began working at the Fisher Body Plant in Flint. Following his retirement in 1989 from BOC in Grand Blanc he moved north. Wayne was a proud member of the UAW. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing on the UAW Course north of Onaway.

He is survived by three children, Michael Nau, Tracy (David) LaForest and Harold (Kelly) Nau; nine grandchildren, Wayne, Shancemarie, Chelsea Rose, Katelynn, Alexzandria, Kevin, Emily, Morgan, Charlotte, Tommy, Mercedes, Aaron, Brittany and Brandon; and a brother, Perry Nau.

Wayne was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry and Harold; his sister, Victoria; and a sister-in-law, Helene.

A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
