William “Bill” Webb Jr.
1928 - 2021William E. Webb Jr. passed away peacefully May 19, 2021 at age 92 in Petoskey Michigan. His strong will to live was inspiring and he is sadly missed by his family.
Bill was born July 23rd, 1928 to Margaret and William Webb in Bay City, Michigan.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Ann Phares and brother, Howard Webb.
He is survived by his brother, Walter Webb; Pauline his wife of 68 years and their four children, Rebecca Webb (CA), Leslie Bergmann (MD), Daniel Webb (UT), Stephen Webb (NY) and six grandchildren.
Bill grew up in Bay City. He was a Lieutenant Jr. Grade in the Navy and flew off aircraft carriers as a Radar Air Controller. He graduated from Central Michigan University and Michigan State University. He taught, coached and was an Administrator for Standish and Lansing Everett High Schools. He also worked nine summers as Manager for the United Methodist camp, Camp Knight of the Pines. He was an avid deer hunter, enjoyed sailing, camping, traveling to all 50 states. Using his gift of carpentry, he volunteered for numerous projects with the NOMADS and 29er’s organizations.
