William Karnes

William Henry Kames age 75 of Rogers City
passed away June 29, 2009 at Alpena Regional Medical Center

He was born February 12, 1934 in Detroit to
Henry and Edith (Banks) Karnes

On June 13, 1953 Bill married Beverly Bruning at
St. John Lutheran Church in Rogers City. He retired from the
Department of Natural Resources as a Forester.

Mr. Karnes is survived by:
2 children, Kenneth (Audrey) of Standish and Holly (Ivan) Wirgau of Rogers City
6 grandchildren, Courtney, Kelley, Katherine, Andrew, Jennifer, and James (Tiffany)
3 great grandchildren, Hailey, Tanner, and Keian
2 sisters, Iris (Larry) Allcorn and Sharon Streich
friend, Janice Maynard

He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly

Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home on Thursday, July 2nd from
2:00 until 8:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m.. Visitation will resume on
Friday at St. John Lutheran Church from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral at
11:00 a.m. with Pastor John Schreiber officiating.

Interment will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery

Memorials may be given to St. John Lutheran Church or School
in memory of William Karnes.
