Yvonne Gleason

Yvonne Kay “Vonnie” Gleason age 87 of Rogers City passed away peacefully at Medilodge in Rogers City on December 26, 2025, following a long battle with dementia.

She was born on August 6, 1938, to Dwight and Beulah (Laning) Hock.

Vonnie was preceded in death by her son, Patrick (Cindy Roper) Gleason and her husband, Warren Gleason.

She is survived by two daughters, Lisa Gleason and Jennifer (Tom) Nielsen; four grandchildren, Grant (Carley) Gleason, Warren (Olivia) Nielsen, Sophia Nielsen and Justin Gleason; and one great granddaughter, Nora Painter Nielsen.

Vonnie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. There is nothing she wouldn’t have done to help you, her her favorite times were spent in her home with her rescue pets and her books. She did not walk through the gates alone; she had many four-legged friends happy to see her.

If you knew her, you know how she felt about funerals, so in keeping with her wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial.

Think of a memory of her that makes you smile; that’s what she would want.
